Rory Gallagher was an Irish blues rock multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and bandleader.
To describe his talent might be enough this quote from Jimi Hendrix. During one of his interviews a journalist asked Jimi how did he feel being the best guitar player in the world and he answered “Ask Rory Gallagher”.
Rory Gallagher came to Italy for the first time after the release of his album “Live! In Europe” recorded during his first European Tour, in 1972.
In 1972 Rory Gallagher toured Italy twice, in February and then in July.
In February he did 4 concerts: on the 12th at Teatro Lirico in Milan, the 14 Space Club in Genova, the 17 at Piper Club in Roma, the 20 at Disco Lem in Verona.
In July he did other 4 concerts: on the 20th at the Altromondo in Rimini, the 21 at Papagayo Club, the club owned by Francesco Sanavio in Milano Marittima, the 23 at Piper Club in Viareggio, the 30 at Piper Club in Roma.
