Roxy Music, the english band created and leaded by Brian Ferry, also famous as solo artist, came to Italy for their first time in 1973. The Italian tour followed the successful release of the first two albums of the band “Roxy Music” in 1972 and “For Your Pleasure” in 1973, that was also the name of the tour.
Francesco Sanavio was the promoter of the Italian dates. They did two concerts in April in Modena and Genova and another one in Rome in June.
In 1982 the band released their top selling album “Avalon” and after that they came to Italy during the worldwide “Avalon Tour”. Francesco Sanavio did with them two concerts on August 29th at the Campo Volo in Reggio Emilia and on August 30th at the Vigorelli in Milan. The supporting act of the band was King Crimson.
After the “Avalon Tour” Roxy Music disbanded, while Brian Ferry continued his solo career that started back in 1973.
