In 1990 Prince came back to Italy during his “Nude Tour” that went through USA, Europe and Japan. Francesco Sanavio was the promoter of the 4 Italian dates: on July 17th in Rome, on the 18th Cava die Tirreni, on the 19th Turin and on the 30th Udine.
After the first two dates that didn’t reached the expected audience, Prince left Italy and, dishonoring the contract, he went straight to Spain where he was supposed to be after the Italian dates. The two shows in Turin and Udine were cancelled and Francesco Sanavio sued the artist.
After 8 years the Italian court in Venice convict the American singer to pay for the cachet he received for the missed shows plus all the legal expenses and accumulate interests. Francesco Sanavio still has to receive from the artist almost 1 million dollar.
